Occupational Health Nursing
Occupational health nursing provides health and safety programs, services to workers, worker populations, and community groups. They focuses on advancements, maintenance and recovery of health, prevention of illness and injury, with protection from work related and environmental hazards. Occupational health nurses combines knowledge of health and business to balance safe and healthy work environments.
It analyse and evaluates the health status of employees and perform to maintain the highest level of well-being of the workforce. The main components of occupational health nursing involves prevention of disease and injury in the workplace, health and wellness, protection, and education. Nurses in occupational health also implement research projects and incorporate evidence based practice into clinical practice.
