Home Nursing

Home Nursing

A nursing home is a place where elderly or handicapped persons get residential care. Long-term care institutions and skilled nursing facilities are other names for nursing homes. Often, these names have somewhat distinct connotations to denote whether the facilities are public or private and whether they primarily offer assisted living or nursing care and emergency medical treatment. People who don't need to be in a hospital but need care that can't be provided at home go to nursing homes. Depending on their status, nursing care facility nurses may also be responsible for overseeing other staff members in addition to attending to the medical requirements of the patients. The majority of nursing facilities have trained nurses and nursing assistants available 24 hours a day.
