Biography:
Professor Howieda Fouly is a tenured professor specializing in Maternity, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing at Assiut University, Egypt, with 25 years of academic experience. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Midwifery and Nursing at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), UAE. Previously, she held an Assistant Professor position at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Saudi Arabia with extensive expertise in teaching both theoretical and clinical aspects of Maternity Nursing & Midwifery at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Dr. Fouly pursued postdoctoral studies at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in 2017 and earned her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing between 2009 and 2011. She is also an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Chapter 13) and the International Network for Doctoral Education in Nursing (INDEN) and Emirates Nurses Association, and Egyptian Nurses Association. Dr. Fouly has contributed significantly to the field through 55 peer-reviewed publications covering topics in midwifery, women’s health, gynecology, oncology, and nursing education. and several books and chapters including with Cambridge University Press Professor Fouly continues to be a global contributor to evidence-based women’s health and nursing research.
